Ferna L. Nogy; 62; of Belle Vernon; passed away Friday; March 21; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Hilda Mae Dottie Zollars; she was born in North Charleroi on Nov. 21; 1945. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Ferna was a member and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon. For more than 25 years; she was well-known in the mental health and aging communities and was the director of communications for Cordia Commons and Wellspring at Huntingdon Ridge. Survivors include her husband; Walter B. Nogy; whom she married April 15; 1964; a daughter; Stacey Nogy; of Hastings; Minn.; a son and daughter-in-law; Wade and Carolyn Nogy; of San Ramon; Calif.; and her dog; Luke.
