Dorcas Ophelia Harris; 86; of Arnold City; departed this life Wednesday; June 25; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born Aug. 3; 1921; in Monessen; she was the daughter of the late Robert and Jenny Payne. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Treadford L. Harris; two brothers; William and Leroy Payne; and one sister; Adele Hicks. Dorcas was a homemaker by profession. She enjoyed cooking and caring for her family. Her baked goods Care Packages have traveled to several locations in the United States and a couple of foreign countries. She leaves to cherish her memory; three sons; Darrell and Kenneth Harris; both of Arnold City; Jeffrey (Darlene) Harris; of Hampton; Va.; three daughters; Ruth Harris and Deborah (Emanuel) Berrings; both of Albany; N.Y.; and Cynthia (Roland) Jones; of Atlanta; Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday; June 27; and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday; June 28; the hour of service at Antioch Baptist Church; 945 Henry St.; Belle Vernon; with the Rev.
