John B. Walters; 81; formerly of Scottdale; passed away Friday; Nov. 4; 2011; in the Harmon House; Mt. Pleasant. A son of the late Elmer and Genevieve Burton Walters; he was born in Belle Vernon; on Sept. 17; 1930. Protestant by faith; he was a retired truck driver and served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include one daughter; Jenny Lynn Walters; of Scottdale; and three grandchildren; Bethany Skilone; Cameron Walters and Alicia Walters. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Alice May McCrory Walters in 1998; a brother; Robert Walters in 2005 and a sister; Charlotte Troyner.
