Obituary

Sara Jean Wilbraham, 95, of McDonald, formerly of Deland, Fla. and Perryopolis, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in St. Clair Hospital. A daughter of the late Samuel E. and Alma Gertrude Paulson West, she was born in Martins Ferry, Ohio on Oct. 23, 1919. Sara had been a dietician at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital for 15 years, retiring in 1976. Survivors include two daughters, Helen Jean Griffith, with whom she made her home in McDonald, and Naomi Faye Bradish, of Connellsville; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Elaine Wilbraham, of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; one sister, Dorothy Drusilla Williams, of Perryopolis; two brothers, Raymond James West, of Uniontown, and David Lee West, of Marion, Mich., eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Howard Wilbraham, in 1985; five brothers, Paul, Oliver, Charles, Robert, in World War II, and Howard "Red" West; and a grandson, Jess Allen Bradish, in 1998.
