Arthur V. Steiner; 81; of North Belle Vernon; died Tuesday; May 7; 2013; at Allegheny General Hospital; Pittsburgh. Born Dec. 3; 1931; in Pricedale; he was the son of the late James G. and Corrine Hershey Steiner. Mr. Steiner was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; a retired mill wright from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport Plant; and a veteran of Korean War; where he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659; VFW Belle Vernon Post 699; Belle Vernon Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 209; Am Vets of Hopwood; Pricedale Russian Club; Pricedale Hungarian Club; Fayette City Naomi Club and the Monessen Croatian Club. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law; James and Kelli Steiner of Conneaut Lake; daughter and son-in-law; Christine and John Leonard of Charleroi; stepchildren; Gregory L. Rainey of Belle Vernon; Drew Rainey and wife; Donna; of Belle Vernon; Kim Gido of Belle Vernon; and stepson-in-law; Phil Drinkwater of Belle Vernon; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two brothers and sisters-in-law; Robert and Katherine Henderson of Belle Vernon; Dennis and Diane Steiner of Belle Vernon and his first wife; Rose Lencio Steiner. He was preceded in death by his second wife; Edith Rainey Steiner; four brothers and eight sisters. Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; 724-929-6183. Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the Parzynski Funeral Home and Cremations with the Rev. Robert Henderson officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Belle Vernon Moose will conduct services 7 p.m. Wednesday and the Belle Vernon American Legion will conduct services 7 p.m. Thursday; both in the funeral home.
