Mariam Rocca; 92; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Sunday; April 3; 2011; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born in Rostraver Township on Feb. 15; 1919; she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Skrabotovic) Nusser. A homemaker; Mariam was Catholic by faith. She is survived by her sons; Nicholas P. Plevel; of Rostraver Township; and Richard D. Rocca; of Greensburg; her daughter; Marie Ann Hiles; of Grindstone; two grandchildren; Dana Lee Hiles and Cheyenne Nicole Hiles; one great-grandchild; Ella Marie Boone; and a sister; Tressa Slebodnik; of Irwin. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her first husband; Nicholas Plevel; second husband; Richard E. Rocca; brothers; John; Andrew; Joseph and Michael Nusser; and sisters; Barbara Schalk and Elizabeth Barron. Friends will be received on Tuesday; April 5; from 6 to 9 p.m. in the JAMES C.
