Betty L. Davis, 97, of North Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, in Uniontown hospital. A daughter of the late Thomas and Mildred Waite Harris, she was born in North Belle Vernon on Sept. 26, 1917. A lifetime resident of North Belle Vernon, she was a member of the Pricedale Union Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E. Glen Davis, Jr., who passed away on April 20, 2006, as well as five siblings before her. She is survived by a daughter, Louise Page of Vanderbilt; and a son and daughter-in-law, Edward Davis, III and Betty Davis of Shepherdstown, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Daniel Page and his wife, Lori, of Vanderbilt, Renee Brown and her husband, Dr. Eric Brown of Taneytown, Md., and Edward Davis, IV of Martinsburg, W.Va.; seven great-grandchildren, Tiffany Stanley, Edward Davis V, Morgan Davis, Ethan Brown, Zachary Brown, Meghan Brown and Matthew Page; as well as many other nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-5300. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Pastor James Mimidis officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
