Obituary

Arthur W. Dubinsky, 79, of Fairhope (Belle Vernon) died Monday, December 17, 2007 in his home with his family and a close friend, Patricia Hormell by his side. A son of the late Steven and Katherine Garber Dubinsky, he was born in Monessen on January 12, 1928. He was a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen. A U.S. Marine veteran of World War II, Arthur had resided in Fairhope most of his adult life and retired in 1993 from Duquesne Slag Company. Survivors include one daughter, Janice Dubinsky, with whom he made his home, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary Dubinsky and girlfriend, Vicki Snyder of Carroll Twp. and Allen and Angela Ferretti of Monessen, one sister, Margaret (Peggy) Kuchera of Charleroi and seven grandchildren, Alan Lee Dubinsky and wife Karen, Andrew, Timothy, Drew and Cori Dubinsky and Austin and Alana Ferretti. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edith B. Stewart Dubinsky on June 3, 2001, his son, Arthur J. Dubinsky, on September 15, 2004 and two brothers, Steve and John Dubinsky. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Wednesday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. www.fergusonfuneralhomeandcrematory.com, (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. A blessing service will be in the funeral home Thursday at 9:45 A.M. followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:30 A.M. in St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church with Monsignor Andrew D. Parvensky and Deacon John Hanchin officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. On Wednesday, in the funeral home, a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 2 P.M. and at 7 P.M., there will be a Service for the Dead.
