Aldo Stagi; 89; of Philipsburg; formerly of Fallowfield Township; died Tuesday; Oct. 30; 2007; in his home. A son of the late Charles and Kate Latinski Stagi; he was born in Belle Vernon on June 11; 1918. Aldo was a member and deacon of the First Christian Church of Fayette City and retired in 1983 from Corning Glass Works in Charleroi. A resident of Fallowfield Township for over 40 years; he and his wife moved to Philipsburg in September 2006. He also served during World War II with the U. S. Army. Survivors include his wife; Ruth Roberts Stagi; with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage on Feb. 14; 2007; one son and daughter-in-law; Charles and Sue Stagi; of Philipsburg; two grandchildren; Patrick Stagi and Kate Young and husband; Wyatt; three great-grandchildren; Angel and Jacob Stagi and Maggie Sue Young; one brother-in-law; Joe Schneider; and one nephew; Bob Schneider; both of Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one sister; Margaret Stagi; and one brother; John Stagi; in infancy.
