Obituary

Samuel P. Sam Sellers, 70, of Belle Vernon (Arnold City), entered into Heavenly rest while in the emergency room at Monongahela Valley Hospital on Saturday, May 26, 2007, with his loving family at his bedside. He was born in Elizabethtown, N.C., on Dec. 28, 1936, a son of the late James and Nancy Garner. His family moved to the Belle Vernon area when he was very young. He was preceded in death by his father James and mother Nancy Garner, a brother, James Sellers, and a grandson, Lorenzo. Mr. Sellers was employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, Allenport plant from 1963 until his retirement in 1996. He was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church, Belle Vernon. He is survived by his loving wife, Millicent Millie Thrasher Sellers, his children, Robin Lynn Dupree, of Belle Vernon, Trina Louise Fullard and husband Kevin, of Charlotte, N.C., Jeanette Lisa Sellers, of Belle Vernon, and Travis Franklin Harris, of Ceveland, Ohio, brothers and sisters, Retha, Lillian, Thomas and wife Katherine, Eugene and wife Mary Memory, Delane, Marie and husband Norman, and Leon and wife Denise, 11 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Antioch Baptist Church, Belle Vernon, and on Saturday, June 2, from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service with the Rev. Clifford A. Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., Fayette City.
