Obituary

Hazel Rousseau, 85, of West Newton, formerly of Rostraver Township (Sweeney Plan), died Thursday, May 10, 2007, in the home of her daughter. She was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Rostraver Township (Webster), a daughter of the late Albert and Maude Edmonds Kefover. Mrs. Rousseau was a member of the Harmony Presbyterian Church and the Rostraver Township Grange Association. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Dianne Rousseau-Martinelli and Anthony Martinelli, of West Newton, with whom she resided the past 10 years, four grandchildren, Eric Martin, Laura Rousseau, Lorraine Ritter and Jill Skrinjorich, seven great-grandchildren, Alex and Ricky, Lauren, Daniel and Marty, and Tess and Thea, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joseph Bud Rousseau, on March 26, 1992, sisters, Alice Kefover Hollowood, Helen Kefover Mayhew, and Ethyl Kefover, who died in infancy, one half-sister, Viola Aten, and one half-brother, Robert Aten. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, www.fergusonfuneralhomeandcrematory.com, a Golden Rule Member Firm, (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, on Saturday, May 12 from noon to 1 p.m., the hour of service in the funeral home with Pastor Clarence Camara officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
