Obituary

William J. McDuffie, 49, of Long Branch, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in North Charleroi on June 6, 1957. Bill was a member of the Allenport Rod and Gun Club, the West Brownsville American Legion and the Pricedale Russian Club. He was a pipefitter with Local 354 of the Plumbers and Pipefitters. Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Chucuddy McDuffie, one son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Lauren McDuffie, serving in the U.S. Army in Hawaii, his mother and step-father, Betty and James Abbott, of Roscoe, his father, William H. McDuffie, of Anacortes, Wash., his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Shirley and Norman Chucuddy, of Allenport, two step-brothers, Scott McDuffie, of Scottdale, and Robbie McDuffie, of Anacortes, Wash., and one brother-in-law, Mark Chucuddy, of Allenport. Mr. McDuffie was preceded in death by his step-father, James Dutchko. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, (724-929-5300), www.fergusonfuneralhomeandcrematory.com, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Saturday, May 12 at 10 a.m. with Elder James Abbott of the Roscoe Church of Jesus Christ officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
