Pia Turik; 85; of Belle Vernon; died Saturday; Jan. 27; 2007; in Allegheny General Hospital; Pittsburgh. She was born July 10; 1921; in Peissenberg; Bavaria; Germany; a daughter of the late George and the late Maria Leppmeier Bachmeier. Mrs. Turik came to this country in 1947; living half of her married life in Fayette City and the other half in Belle Vernon. Her sparkling personality left an imprint on everyone who met her. She touched many lives with her smile; her gentleness; her humor and her love. She was preceded in death by her husband; Nicholas Turik. Pia requested no viewing but to be laid to rest beside her husband in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; Fayette City.
