Joseph C. Shackley; 77; of Monongahela; died Monday; Dec. 11; 2006; in Jefferson Regional Medical Center. A son of the late Cecil Shackley and Loretta Henniger Shackley McPeak; he was born in Pittsburgh on April 2; 1929. He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and the Belle Vernon Moose. Formerly of Belle Vernon; he had resided in Monongahela for the past two years. Joseph retired in 1993 from the Federal Reserve Bank of Pittsburgh and was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law; Holly and John Fedoris of Carroll Township; Kathy Bell and companion Dan Mosco; of Fallowfield Township; Wendy and Russell Brown; of Fayette City; and Lorie and Nathan Ford; of Breezewood; one son and daughter-in-law; Joseph C. II and Lisa Shackley; of Glendale; Ariz.; one sister; Loretta Rae Worrall; of Clearwater; Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; and one nephew and three nieces. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Lorraine Lynn Shackley; on Aug. 4; 2004. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE; www.fergusonfuneralhome.net; a Golden Rule Member Firm; (724-929-5300); 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Thursday; Dec. 14; at 11 a.m. with Pastor James Mimidis officiating. Entombment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of American Legion Post 659 will meet in the funeral home to hold services Tuesday at 7 p.m.
