Obituary

Joseph W. Feehan, 83, of Monessen, died Monday, Oct. 30, 2006, in IHS of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. He was born in Sewickley Township on Jan. 23, 1923, the son of the late Clarence M. and Elizabeth Meluch Feehan. He was a lifelong resident of Monessen and a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. Mr. Feehan also was a member of Monessen Elks Lodge 773. He retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel, having worked in the chemistry lab. Mr. Feehan was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army in Co. G, 4th Battalion, 1322 Service Command Unit. He is survived by three loving children, Joseph P. Feehan and wife Gloria, of Woodsboro, Md., Jack Feehan, of Monessen, and Marianne Flickinger and husband Jim, of Greensburg, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Clarence and Mary Feehan, of Monessen, and Thomas Feehan, of Naples, Fla., a sister, Dorothy Weisel, of Belle Vernon, a brother-in-law, Paul Dudick, of Belle Vernon, four grandchildren, Patrick Feehan and wife Christine, Sarah Wright and husband Wayne, and Jake and Marc Flickinger, six great-grandchildren, Justin, Conner, Brendan and Ryan Feehan, and Riley and Joseph Wright, and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Kurey Feehan, and his second wife, Dorothy Dudick Feehan. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 441 Reed Ave., Monessen (724-684-8750). Services will be held Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, beginning with a 9:30 a.m. Blessing in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord R.C. Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
