Obituary

Jennie J. Moore, 88, of Belle Vernon, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006, in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born in New London, Conn., on Jan. 4, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Desack. Mrs. Moore was a seamstress at the former Donora Sportswear. She was an avid bingo player and a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles W. III and Barbara Moore, of Charleroi, four daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia A. and Steven Saniga, of Laughlintown, Frances H. and Eugene Gillock, and Jennie J. and Ted Young, all of Rostraver Township, and Rose M. and Bruce Falise, of Greensburg, two brothers, Eugene Desak, of Monessen, and Edward Desak, of Charleroi, a sister, Sophia Ponchak, of Pittsburgh, 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Moore. Friends will be received Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Oct. 3 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the JAMES C. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 3 at noon in St. Sebastian R.C. Church, Belle Vernon, with the Rev. Charles Esposito as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
