Obituary

Carl M. Holt, 70, of Rostraver Township, died Monday, Sept. 18, 2006, in The Uniontown Hospital. A son of the late Robert K. and Eantha Ryan Holt, he was born in Waltersburg on June 5, 1936. Protestant by faith, Mr. Holt had resided in Rostraver Township for the past 45 years. Carl loved hunting and fishing and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired from the Bucyrus-Erie Foundry of Glassport. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Reda Roe Holt, one son, Kenneth Holt, at home, one daughter, Holly Davis, of Waynesburg, one brother, Grady Holt, of Warren, Ohio, three sisters, Maxine Stewart, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Marie Clark and Carol Wingrove, of Stafford, Texas, and a granddaughter, Kala R. Davis. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, a Golden Rule Member Firm, (724-929-5300), www.fergusonfuneralhome.net, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, Sept. 21, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Suzanne Currie officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
