Obituary

Jonathan C. Willey, 25, of Rostraver Township, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2006. The son of Eileen Sitko Willey, who survives and resides in Rostraver Township, and the late John Jack Willey, he was born in Pittsburgh on May 28, 1981. He was a member of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church, of Rostraver Township, where he had been an altar server and a Eucharistic minister for many years. He graduated from Belle Vernon Area High School in 1999, and attended St. Vincent College and Westmoreland County Community College. He was a past member of Boy Scout Troop 1590, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was employed by the Westmoreland County Airport Authority in Rostraver. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include Aunt Judy Cap, Aunt Jane Benedetti and Uncle Robert Benedetti, Aunt Marsha and Uncle Charles Jenkins, Uncle Thomas and Aunt Jean Sitko, a very dear friend, Stacy Fioravanti, and numerous cousins. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Mary Sitko, and his paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Dorothea Willey. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. AND CREMATION SERVICE, a Golden Rule Member Firm, www.fergusonfuneralhome.net, 724-929-5300, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Church of St. Anne, Rostraver Township, with his pastor, Father Ronald L. Simboli, presiding. Friends are asked to go directly to the church for the funeral Mass. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A solo plane made a fly-over as the funeral was arriving and leaving the cemetery.The Rostraver Airport named a street at the airport after Jonathan.
