Funeral services were held this morning for Genevieve Dudzik; 90; formerly of Monessen; who died Friday; July 28; 2006; in the Washington County Health Center. Born June 16; 1916; in Glassport; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Sophie Lipinska Wieczorek. For many years Mrs. Dudzik worked as a housekeeper in the Charleroi and Monessen areas. She was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Monessen and the former St. Leonard Catholic Church. Mrs. Dudzik was a member of the Eagles Club in Monessen and enjoyed making stained glass from her home. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law; John J. Jr. and Linda Dudzik; of Monongahela; a grandson; John J. Dudzik III and wife Becky; two granddaughters; Joyce Lynn Holsopple and husband Troy; and Becky Jo Dudzik; two great-granddaughters; Hanna and Shelby Holsopple; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were two sons; Paul; who died at birth; and Leonard Dudzik; in June 1990; and several brothers and sisters. Interment was held in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
