Leonora C. Cercone Scapes; 87; of Pittsburgh; died Wednesday; July 5; 2006; at 11:14 a.m. in Jefferson Regional Medical Center; Jefferson Borough. Born Jan. 14; 1919; in Pittsburgh; she was the daughter of the late Giuseppe and Maria Scuillo Cercone. A resident of Pittsburgh for the past 2 1/2 years; having previously resided in the Mon Valley area; Mrs. Scapes was Catholic by faith and a homemaker. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; Arch A. and Dawn Scapes; three daughters and one son-in-law; Josephine and Lawrence Wallace; Maria Mimi Miller and Kathryn Gallick; six grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Archangel G. Scapes; on Dec. 1; 1995; three brothers; Rick; Guido and Roland; and four sisters; Lily; Bertha; Rita and Irene. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724- 929-6183).
