Virginia V. Doed Venneri Halgas; 75; of North Belle Vernon; died Saturday; June 17; 2006; at 9:35 a.m. at her home. Born July 1; 1930; in North Belle Vernon; she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Erminia Fuoco Venneri. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon; Mrs. Halgas was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and a retired telephone operator from Bell Telephone in North Belle Vernon. She is survived by her husband; Rudolph Rudy Halgas; one son; Brian Halgas; of Belle Vernon; one daughter and son-in-law; Noreen and Joseph Newhouse; of Belle Vernon: two granddaughters; Samantha Newhouse and Audrey Halgas; one brother and sister-in-law; Val and Helen Venneri; of Belle Vernon; and two sisters and one brother- in-law; Stella Hamadock; of Dover; Del.; and Josephine and John Mannarino; of Bristol. She was preceded in death by one brother; Sam Venneri; and one sister; Joan Turk. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724- 929-6183). A Prayer Service will be held Tuesday; June 20; at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home; followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas V.F.; pastor; as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. On Monday; members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Virginia Halgas at 3 p.m.; the North Belle Vernon Fire Department will conduct services at 7 p.m.; and a service will be conducted by the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus at 8 p.m.; all in the funeral home.
