Genevieve R. Giannini; 80; of Belle Vernon; died Saturday; June 10; 2006; in Hallsworth House of Monessen. She was born Jan. 2; 1926; in Monessen; a daughter of the late Thomas Dzimiera and Kathryn Szerszen Dzimiera. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon; American Legion Post 28 Auxiliary and Polish National Alliance 1146; both of Monessen; and the Polish Heritage of Uniontown. Mrs. Giannini had been employed by U.S. Steel; Irvin Works as a payroll secretary and had retired from her family’s business; Giannini Distributing; as a secretary. Surviving are three sons; Mark Giannini and wife Rita; and Randal and Paul Giannini; all of Belle Vernon; one grandson; Chad Giannini; one niece; Valeria Kayatin and husband Kenneth; and numerous other nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her husband; Angelo Sonny Giannini; three brothers; Joe; Pete and John Dzimiera; and her sister; Violet Bozek. Friends will be received at the RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC.; 1209 Grand Blvd.; Monessen; a Golden Rule Funeral Home; from 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday. Prayer services will be held Thursday; June 15; in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.; followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sebastian R.C. Church at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
