Obituary

Virginia Voloko Rusyniak, 82, of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township), died Thursday, May 4, 2006, at 10:15 a.m. at Jefferson Regional Health System, Jefferson Borough. Born Feb. 15, 1924, in Monessen, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Katryn Dzyndzyrsta Voloko. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 21 years, having previously resided in Michigan for 31 years, Mrs. Rusyniak was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Belle Vernon and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, John Rusyniak, to whom she was married 60 years, a son, John W. Rusyniak, of Belle Vernon, a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ronald Adamo, of Michigan, a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Carol Star, of Michigan, a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Joseph Perez, of Michigan, four grandchildren, Vincent and Laurie Adamo, Christina and Ryan Schultz, Christopher and Michelle Rusyniak, and Kara and Mark Cerny, and five great-grandchildren, Gage, Payton and Regan Rusyniak, Alexandria Cerny and Grace Ryan Schultz. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Say and Olga Sowinsky, and a daughter-in-law, Martha Rusyniak. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). Relatives and friends will gather Saturday at 10 a.m. for services at Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church, Mary Street, Belle Vernon with the Very Rev. John J. Kluchko as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
