Edward Glen Davis Jr.; 87; of Belle Vernon (Washington Heights); went home to be with his Lord on Thursday; April 20; 2006. A son of the late Edward G. Sr. and Ethel Stanton Davis; he was born in North Charleroi on Dec. 29; 1918. He was a member of the Pricedale Union Church and was an avid wood craftsman. Mr. Davis retired in 1983 from the Coke Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company; where he was an electrical maintenance foreman. He served with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Eldorado in the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Survivors include his wife of 64 1/2 years; Betty Harris Davis; one daughter; Louise Page; of Vanderbilt; one son and daughter-in-law; Edward G. III and Betty Davis; of Sheperdstown; W.Va.; one sister; Betty Clugston; of the state of California; three grandchildren; Daniel Page and wife Lori; of Vanderbilt; Renee Brown and husband Eric of Taneytown; Md.; and Edward Davis IV and wife Christina; of Martinsburg; W.Va.; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one sister; Blanche Rebelo; one brother; Alvin Davis; and one son-in- law; Emery Page Jr. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE; a Golden Rule Member Firm; www.fergusonfuneralhome.net; (724-929-5300); 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon.
