Irene Hoffman Ferencz; 86; of Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township); died Thursday; April 20; 2006; at 12:29 p.m. in UPMC-Shadyside; Pittsburgh. Born Jan. 17; 1920; in Rostraver Township; she was the daughter of the late John and Julia Kovach Hoffman. A lifelong resident of Rostraver Township; Mrs. Ferencz was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and the Legion of Mary. She was a homemaker; served as a past president of AARP; treasurer of the Belle Vernon Golden Age Assembly; was a member of the former Ladies Auxiliary of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659; and she served as Judge of Elections in Pricedale. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law; Dennis Ferencz and Robert and Helen Ferencz; both of Belle Vernon; a daughter and son-in-law; Janice and Joseph Milosevich; of Hampton; Va.; six grandchildren; Robert and Shannon Ferencz; Valerie and Craig Bonde; Joseph Milosevich; Susan and John Young; Bill Ferencz and Tom Ferencz; three great-grandchildren; Olivia Nicole Bonde; Aiden Bonde and Joseph Conner Young; and a sister; Julia Hogue; of Crescent. She was preceded in death by her husband; Joseph P. Ferencz; on May 27; 1993; three brothers; John; Stephen and Joseph Hoffman; and two sisters; Elizabeth Pritchau and Mary Hoffman. Visitation will be held Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929- 6183). A Prayer Service will be held Monday; April 24 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas V.F.; pastor; as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian Parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Irene Ferencz on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
