Obituary

Susan Sokol Koslasky, 80, of Belle Vernon (Fairhope), died Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 11:45 a.m. at her home. Born July 26, 1925 in Red Hill, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Drozda Sokol. Mrs. Koslasky was a homemaker and member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Belle Vernon, where she also volunteered baking for many church fund raisers. She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Koslasky, of Fairhope, a sister-in-law, Julia Paholski, of Belle Vernon (Lynnwood) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Enoch Koslasky, her son, Robert Koslasky, on Oct. 9, 2005, two sisters, Margaret Rubyor and Mary Carnahan, and three brothers, Michael, Peter and John Sokol. Visitation will be held Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). Services will be held Tuesday, March 7 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home with the Very Rev. John J. Kluchko of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A Parastas Service will be held Monday at 8:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
