Obituary

Stanley Serb Semich Jr., 57, of Belle Vernon (Lynnwood), died Monday, Feb. 13, 2006, in his residence. He was born March 6, 1948, in North Charleroi, the son of the late Stanley Nappy and Helen Sudar Semich. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel after 35 years of service at the Allenport Plant. Surviving are his wife, Toni Panepinto Semich, a son, Nicholas Nick Semich, of Las Vegas, Nev., a daughter, Kristen Semich, at home, a sister, Mildred Mitzie Backos and companion Glen Kelly, of Arnold City, a sister-in-law, Virginia Crea, of Belle Vernon, a brother-in-law, Sal and Marie Panepinto, of Monongahela, one aunt, Kathryn Zebula and husband Robert, of Belle Vernon, special friend who was like a brother, Lou Hegedeus and wife Bonnie, of Chambersburg, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins. Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Feb. 17, 9:30 a.m., when a Blessing service will take place followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, with the Rev. Charles Esposito as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
