Obituary

Ronald Keys Jr., 39, of Washington, Pa., died unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. The son of Wilma J. Keys and the late Ronald Keys Sr., he was raised in Monessen and graduated from Monessen High School in 1984. He was a 1991 graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor of arts degree in speech and communications, and he was a graduate of Columbia School of Broadcasting. Ronald was employed by radio station WJPA in Washington and self employed as a freelance disc jockey. He was a member of the Living Stone Community Church in Washington and a member of the trustee board. In addition to his mother, he leaves to celebrate his life his wife of 10 years, Cheryl Keys, and his daughter, Ronay Noel Keys, both of Washington, a sister, Dr. Dana J. Keys-Frezzell (Reginald), of Belle Vernon, a brother, Scott Keys (Neirissa), of San Pedro, Calif., his mother-in-law, Becky Miller, three brothers-in-law, Eric Miller (Lillian), Adam Miller and Andrew Miller, one sister-in-law, Nicole Fry (Nathan), nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and a host of relatives and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bishop Joseph E. Bass and Mary Bass, and his paternal grandparents, Leo and Marie Keys. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. in Gate of Heaven Church of God in Christ, 644 Reed Ave., Monessen. A Homegoing Service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m. in Gate of Heaven Church. Pastor Paul Harrington of Living Stone Community Church will deliver the Eulogy. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the ALDRICH FUNERAL HOMES, 431 East Ninth Ave., Munhall (800-705-3006).
