George Vargo; 68; of Rostraver Township; died Wednesday; Jan. 4; 2006; in Mon Valley Hospital Inc. He was born March 19; 1937; in Fayette City; a son of the late Andrew Sr. and Anna Repan Vargo. He was a member of the Perryopolis United Methodist Church. Mr. Vargo was the former steward of over 40 years at American Legion Post 484 in Fayette City and a former member of the Naomi Athletic Club. He is survived by his wife; Anne Randall Vargo; two sons and daughters-in- law; George and Sharon Vargo; of Washington Township; and Michael and Athena Vargo; of Belle Vernon; two daughters and one son-in-law; Louise Cis and Ted Horrell; of Fayette City; and Karen Lind; of Belle Vernon; three sisters and one brother-in-law; Agnes Strychalski; of Belle Vernon; Dolores and Stephen Yelich; of Irwin; and Dorothy Weitzel; of Belle Vernon; two brothers and one sister-in-law; Joseph and Arlene Vargo; of Fayette City; and Leonard Vargo; of Markleysburg; three sisters-in-law; Barbara Vargo; of Perryopolis; Wilma Vargo; of Wellsburg; W.Va.; and Catherine Vargo; of Fayette City; six grandchildren; Alison Crowson; Aimee Gillingham; Kari Horrell; Garrett Horrell; George Vargo II and Kala Vargo; three great-grandchildren; Nina and Mia Gillingham and Paige Crowson. He was preceded in death by four brothers; Edward; Thomas; Andrew Jr. and Herb Vargo; and one sister; Mary Vargo Karelli.
