Frances Smock Pendo; 84; of North Belle Vernon; died Saturday; April 3; 2004; in Botsford Hospital; Farmington Hills; Mich. Born Sept. 16; 1919; in Belle Vernon; she was a daughter of the late Frank and Emma Maine Boyce Smock. Mrs. Pendo was a lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon and a homemaker. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Jeffrey and Linda Pendo of Belle Vernon; one daughter; Jacqueline Katinsky of Detroit; Mich.; one brother; Frank Smock of Dubois; one sister; Cleora Johnston of Deltona Beach; Fla.; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Albert F. Pendo; on Sept. 16; 1994; and one sister; Sarah Jane Smock. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). Services will be held Wednesday; April 7 in the funeral home at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy C. McConville of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
