Obituary

Dundeenah Deenie Draper departed this life June 4, 2005 in Havencrest Nursing Home, Carroll Township. Born Oct. 9, 1920 in Monessen, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary Stamper Draper. Deenie was also preceded in death by her brother, Beverly C. Draper. A 1939 graduate of Monessen High School, she retired from Ford Motor Co. after 30 years of service at the Ypsilanti, Mich., plant. Survivors include one sister, Ruby McCraw of Rostraver Township, one step daughter, Mrs. Horace (Rochelle) Wells of Inkster, Mich., two grandchildren, Emmereal D. Wells and wife Gilda and Jacquelyne Wells, both of Michigan, one great-grandson, Kory Wells, of Michigan, one nephew, B. Clifford Johnny Draper of Monessen, one niece, Mrs. Al (Carolyn) Carter of Sarasota, Fla., three great-nieces, Mrs. Robert (Shelley) Ramsey of Rostraver Township, Sharon Bailey of Houston, Texas, and Dr. Cynthia Carter of Cambridge, Mass., two great-nephews, Dale K. Simpson of Monessen and Kevin McLee of Pittsburgh, and three great-nephews, five great-great nieces, and many relatives and friends. Friends will be received Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. in Union Baptist Church, 670 McMahon Ave., Monessen, where services will be held Wednesday, June 8 at 11 a.m. following a viewing from 10 to 11 a.m. with Elder Jack Howell presiding. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the BEVERLY C. DRAPER FUNERAL HOME, Monessen.
