Ralph N. Cain Sr.; 82; of Belle Vernon; died Wednesday; Aug. 25; 2004 in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Belle Vernon on March 20; 1922; the son of the late George Raymond and Jane Ella Beazell Cain. He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion; Post 659 and retired in June 1983 from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.; Gibsonton yard. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Cathy A. and George Jupin of Tarpon Springs; Fla.; three sons and daughters-in-law; Ralph Jr. and Candice Cain of Greensburg; Robert R. and Martha Cain of Tampa; Fla.; and Lionel and Wendy Cain of Fayette City; three sisters; twins; June Leeper and May Diethorn; and Jane Shider; all of Belle Vernon; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Joan Reinhardt Cain; on Dec. 12; 2001. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE; a Golden Rule Member Firm; (724-929-5300); 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Saturday; Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Tim McConville officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
