Obituary

Ralph N. Cain Sr., 82, of Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004 in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Belle Vernon on March 20, 1922, the son of the late George Raymond and Jane Ella Beazell Cain. He was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion, Post 659 and retired in June 1983 from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co., Gibsonton yard. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, he was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy A. and George Jupin of Tarpon Springs, Fla., three sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph Jr. and Candice Cain of Greensburg, Robert R. and Martha Cain of Tampa, Fla., and Lionel and Wendy Cain of Fayette City, three sisters, twins, June Leeper and May Diethorn, and Jane Shider, all of Belle Vernon, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Reinhardt Cain, on Dec. 12, 2001. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, a Golden Rule Member Firm, (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Tim McConville officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
