Donald L.Gaskill;65; of Belle Vernon (Washington Township);died Thursday;Aug.19;2004 in his residence.  He was born Oct.9;1938 in Washington County;a son of the late William and Dorothy Spang Gaskill Nicholls.  Mr.Gaskill was a veteran of the U.S.Army.  He is survived by his wife;Wilma J.Smoot Gaskill of Belle Vernon;one son;Donald L.Gaskill Jr.and wife Terrie of Hibbs;his mother-in-law;Swannee B.Sopsic of Belle Vernon;two sisters;Dutch Ann Kennedy of Belle Vernon and Joan Vogel of Maryland;two brothers;Art Gaskill of Ohio and Robert Gaskill of North Carolina;one grandson;Jesse Gaskill;and numerous nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME;INC.;334 Main St.;Fayette City (724 326-5621) on Thursday;Aug.26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.;at which time a memorial service will be held with Pastor Tim Tanner officiating.  Private interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers;contributions may be made to the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home.
