Agnes Elma Delp; 80; of the Belle Vernon area; died Aug. 9; 2004 in Jefferson Hospital. Born July 20; 1924 in Fairchance; she was a daughter of the late John and Alice Huber Delp. She was a 1941 graduate of Rostraver High School and attended Douglas Business School in Charleroi and Frostburg State University; Frostburg; Md.; where she obtained a bachelor of science degree in 1958 and a master’s of science degree in education in 1966. Agnes had taught elementary education in Cumberland; Md.; and had taught in the Connellsville Area School District prior to her retirement. She had received the Franciscan Medical Center’s Rehabilitant of the Year award in 1986. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; MaryBeth and Michael Hollis of Moline; Ill.; two grandchildren; Deborah Olmstead and Daniel Christian; both of Boston; Mass.; two step grandchildren; Elizabeth Bruce and Heath Hollis; both of Illinois; four great-grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother-in-law; Pauline Kuzman of Monessen and Mrs. Ronald (Jean) Coulter of Monongahela; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by one sister; Ursaline Delp MacDonald. Visitation will be held in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE (724-929-5399) 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; a Golden Rule member firm; on Saturday; Aug. 14 from 10 to 11 a.m.; the hour of service with the Rev. Jeffery Anthony officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
