Obituary

Harry Klochak, 86, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at 4:50 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born May 2, 1918, in Donora, he was a son of the late George Sr. and Mary Barelich Klochak. He was a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 44 years, a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and was retired from NASA, where he worked as a tool designer. Mr. Klochak was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and a lifetime member of the Disabled Veterans. He is survived by his wife, Clara N. Nichols Klochak, one brother, Donald Klochak Sr. of Arizona, and one sister, Rose Bernardo of Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George Jr. and Paul Klochak, and four sisters, Anne Klochak, Mary Brazzon, Helen Matsick and Betty Smerilli. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). A prayer service will be held Wednesday, June 30 at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. On Tuesday, members of St. Sebastian parish will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Harry Klochak at 3 p.m., and Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will conduct services at 7 pm, both in the funeral home.
