Obituary

Henry Eller Bush, 94, formerly of Pricedale, passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2004, in Country Care Manor, Fayette City. A son of the late Roddie and Annie Rowe Bush, he was born in Redtown (Belle Vernon) on May 1, 1910. He was a member of the Pricedale Union Church, where he taught Sunday school for many years and had been a trustee. Mr. Bush served on the former Rostraver Township School Board and had officiated high school and league basketball games throughout the Valley. He attended Monessen High School and lettered in track and football. A lifelong resident of Pricedale, Mr. Bush retired from the Somers Mine in Pricedale and from the custodial department of the Belle Vernon Area School District. Survivors include one daughter, J. Arlene Naylor, one son and daughter-in-law, James C. and Camille Bush, all of Belle Vernon, six grandchildren and their spouses, Gregg and Rebecca Naylor, Brian and Deborah Naylor, Brett and Marymargaret Naylor, James and Katherine Bush, Craig and Maureen Bush and Michele and William Knott, and eight great-grandchildren, Aaron, Joseph, Ethan, John, Zachary and Matthew Naylor and Colleen and Kristen Bush. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cowan Bush, on Dec. 12, 1994. The last surviving member of his immediate family, he was preceded in death by four brothers, William, Howard, Clarence and Clifford Bush, his son-in-law, J. Walter Naylor, and one nephew, Howard Alan Bush.. Friends will be received in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC. and CREMATION SERVICE, a Golden Rule Member Firm, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, (724-929-5300), on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Thursday, May 27 at 10 a.m. with Pastor James Mimidis officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
