Obituary

Henry F. Ream, 65, of Belle Vernon, died Monday, May 3, 2004, at 12:20 a.m. at Monongahela Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born March 22, 1939, in Belle Vernon, he was the son of the late Henry A. and Fay Bedsworth Ream. Mr. Ream was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon and a member of First Presbyterian Church. Mr. Ream was retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Belle Vernon, where he worked as postmaster for 17 years. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve. He was a member and past president of the Belle Vernon Rotary Club, a former member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department, an elder at First Presbyterian Church, Belle Vernon, and he belonged to other civic and fraternal organizations. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Price Ream, of Belle Vernon, a daughter and son-in-law, Marybeth and Dan Burkley, of Greensburg, a brother- and sister-in-law, Ed and Pam Price, of Hewitt, Texas, a sister-in-law, Joyce Fought, of New Stanton, nieces and nephews, Stacey and Eric Smith, Jessica Fought, Aland and Heather Price, and Andrew Price. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lousia Jane Ream. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, Belle Vernon, with the Rev. James C. Ramsey, of East Union Presbyterian Church, Cheswick, officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
