Obituary

William Joseph Vannucci, 89, formerly of Graham Street, Belle Vernon, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, in Jeannette Memorial Hospital. A son of the late Quinto and Sestilia Ricci Vannucci, he was born May 25, 1914, in Belle Vernon. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Vannucci was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon. He was a self employed truck driver. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Norman Summers of Bellevue, Wash., and Joyce and Anthony Dragoni of Warren, N.J., one sister, Marna Biagini of Buena Park, Calif., four grandchildren, Robert Summers of Seattle, Wash., David Summers of Tigard, Ore., Lisa Dragoni of Greenbelt, Md., and Denise Dragoni of New York City, and two great-grandchildren, Shyla Summers of Tigard, Ore., and Madelyn Hope Cohen of Greenbelt, Md. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Clair Biagini, on May 20, 2000, and one brother, Hugo Vannucci, in 1997. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Service, (724-929-5300), 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. A blessing service will be in the funeral home on Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lawrence Manchez officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
