Obituary

Curtis Curley Littleton, 76, of North Charleroi, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2004, while in Orlando, Fla. He was born June 10, 1921, to the late Alberta Littleton-Stanley. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from U.S. Steel, where he worked rolling rods and as a crane operator at both the Donora and Duquesne plants. Mr. Littleton was well known in the Valley as a jack-of-all-trades. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Donora, and a former member of the American Legion and Mon Valley Elks Lodge 208. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine J. Littleton, his former wife, Blanche Littleton, one daughter, Aleta Littleton-Rue, and one brother, Jesse D. Littleton. He will be remembered in love by his children, Donald Littleton of Donora, Ferdel Littleton of Fredericktown, Darnell Littleton and wife Cathleen of Canton, Mich., and Pennsylvania, Mark Littleton of Hanover, Md., Toni Briggs and husband Clinton of Monessen, Ronda Littleton-Johnson of Newark, N.J., Alberta Griffey of Orlando, Fla., Eleanor Littleton of Jacksonville, Fla., Christina Littleton of Lithonia, Ga., Deborah Littleton-Wilson and husband William of Donora, Sheila Moten of Charleroi, and Melba Drewery and husband Fred of Newark, Del., 24 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, two sisters, Anna B. Smith of Queens, N.Y., and Vera M. Lomax of Monessen, one aunt, Jessie Mitchell of Queens, N.Y., and five nieces, Vicky Lomax, Joyce Warden, Jolyn Smith, Linda Allen and Jessica Rainey Hicks. Friends will be received at First Baptist Church, Sixth Street and Allen Avenue, Donora, on Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to noon, the hour of service. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the PERCY E. LAW JR. FUNERAL HOMES, Donora.
