Obituary

Velma Thieser Harrison, 77, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, died Sunday, March 28, 2004, at 1:05 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital, Carroll Township. Born Oct. 24, 1926, in Belle Vernon, she was a daughter of the late Barney and Katherine Nichols Thieser. A lifelong resident of Rostraver Township, Mrs. Harrison was Protestant by faith and retired from the former Lambert's Ceramics of Belle Vernon, where she worked as a greenware pourer. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Tim F. Sethman of Rostraver Township, with whom she made her home, one step daughter, Gladys Jolliffe of Maryland, two grandsons, Tim C. and Michael Sethman, both of Rostraver Township, two step granddaughters, Tracy Marquez and Jennifer Stone, both of Maryland, and one sister, Katherine Morris of Florida. Mrs. Harrison was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Harrison, on Sept. 14, 1979, three brothers, William and Glen Shepler and Bernard Thieser, and two sisters, Dorothy Johnson and Leona Evans. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). Private services will be held with the Rev. J.E. Mitchell of Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene officiating, followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
