Robert Stark III; 79; of Monessen; died Friday; Nov. 21; 2003; in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. He was born Oct. 25; 1924; in Roscoe; a son of the late Robert and Margaret Kipp Stark. He was a life long resident of the Mon Valley area and a 1943 graduate of Charleroi High School. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Monessen; and a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 1187. He retired in 1988 with 44 years of service from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation; Allenport Plant; having worked in the sheet scheduling department. Mr. Stark also managed several area country clubs and bartended at the former Twin Coaches. He is survived by his wife of 53 years; Jean Dodaro Stark; a son and daughter-in-law; Robert J. and Cathy Stark; of Monessen; two grandsons; Jonathan and Brandon Stark of Monessen; a brother-in-law; J. Pat Dodaro; and a sister-in-law; Evelyn Kowell; both of Monessen; and by a niece; Paula Kowell; of Monessen. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a sister; Caroline Bastin. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the DALFONSO-BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC.; 441 Reed Avenue; Monessen. Service will be Monday; beginning with an 11:30 a.m. blessing in the funeral home; followed by Funeral Mass at noon in the Epiphany of Our Lord R. C. Church. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
