Obituary

Donald Joseph Dolnack, 60, of Herndon, Va., died Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003, in his residence following a declining illness. He was born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 8, 1943, a son of the late Joseph Dolnack and Agnes Opett Dolnack, who survives and resides in Donora. He retired with 38 years of services as a computer analyst for the U.S. Geological Society. He was a member of St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church of Herndon, Va. Mr. Dolnack was very active with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as assistant scout master, merit badge counselor, committee chairman and adult leadership training. He was also a member of the M.G. Card Club. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two sons, David and Stephen. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife of 34 years, Joan Povich Dolnack, one son, Gregory Dolnack of Silver Spring, Md., a sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Charles White of Manassas, Va., two nieces, and five nephews. Friends will be received in the ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass in Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, Monessen. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
