Obituary

Born at Fayette City nearly 77 years ago and having spent her entire life in this vicinity,Mrs. Louisa Jordan Reppert,died at the family residence at Main and Third streets Saturday morning,October 26,1907,after a long illness.  The deceased was a daughter of Edward and Eliza Jordan and one of twelve children.  Her father was a well-known Baptist minister in this section sixty years ago.  She was married to Mr.Reppert in February,1850-nearly 58 years ago.  They had resided here ever since.  Mr.Reppert is the senior member of the pioneer undertaking firm of C.Reppert & Sons.  Of the Jordan family there are but two survivors,Edward A. Jordan and Mrs. Asah Havis,both of Belle Vernon.  Mrs.Reppert was the mother of six children,four of whom survive.  They are Alfred M.and William E. Reppert and Mrs.Leonard Thompson of Belle Vernon and Mrs.T.N.Springer,of Ruffsdale.  Nine grandchildren are also living.  Mrs.Reppert had been a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church the greater part of her life,but owing to illness had been unable to attend services regularly for some years.  The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon,October 28,1907.
