Kenneth Dale Midlam; 95; of Latrobe; died Wednesday; Jan. 29; 2003; in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born June 5; 1907; in Marion; Ohio; a son of the late Albert C. and Zina (Young) Midlam. Prior to retirement in 1972; Ken was a metallurgist for Standard Steel in Latrobe with more than 40 years of service. He was a very active member of the Latrobe Presbyterian Church; its Men’s Bible Class and the Adult Seniors of the church. He attended Ohio State University and Carnegie Mellon University. Ken was also an honorary life member of the Latrobe Rotary Club; a life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks; Latrobe Lodge #907; and a member of the Latrobe Golden Agers. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his first wife; Jean Baker Midlam; his second wife; Ruth Stahl Midlam; and two sisters; Adrienne Uncapher and Marian Richardson. He is survived by four children; Robert A. Midlam of Latrobe; Kenneth Dale Midlam II and his wife; Ellen; of Potomac; Md.; Lewis C. Midlam and wife; Alice; of Bokeelia; Fla.; and Zina Jean Regina and husband; William; of Phoenix; Ariz.; two stepchildren; Cheryl Miller and husband; Wesley; of Latrobe and Howard Stahl and wife; Barbara; of Latrobe; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his brother; R. Richard Midlam of St. Louis; Mo. Friends will be received at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC.; 1500 Ligonier St.; Latrobe; Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in Unity Chapel; Unity Township; with the Latrobe Presbyterian clergy officiating.
