Obituary

Selma Alberta Yuille Wade, 77, a resident of Monessen for over 50 years, died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, in Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Borough. She was born Sept. 20, 1925, in Campbell County, Naruna, Va., a daughter of the late Richard and Alice Yuille. Mrs. Wade was Baptist by faith, being an active member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Monessen. She attended Sunday school, was a member and vice president of the Missionary Society, Usher Ministry Emeritus. She was affiliated with the Youghiogheny Western Baptist Association, The Women's Home and Foreign Mission, Nurses Ministry and Congress of Christian Education, Lott Carey Foreign Mission and the Senior Action Council of Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence B. Wade, and five brothers, Sidney, James, Houston, Eugene, and Clyde Yuille. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Trueheart Wade, two daughters, Selma A. Arnold and Wendy L. Wade, one sister, Carrie Levinia Callahan, one brother, Theodore R. Yuille, all of Monessen, four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. Visitation will be in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 230 Reed Ave., Monessen, on Friday, Jan. 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Griffin E. Mason officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The BEVERLY C. DRAPER FUNERAL HOME, 608 Sixth St., Monessen, is in charge of arrangements.
