Obituary

John Michalski, 84, of Dent Street, Belle Vernon, died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2002, while visiting his daughter in Baraboo, Wis. A son of the late Paul and Anna Zulla Michalski, he was born in Tower Hill July 13, 1918. Protestant by faith, he had resided most of his adult life in Belle Vernon. Mr. Michalski was a U.S. Army, World War II veteran and retired in 1980 from Mathies Mine. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Karl Urban of Baraboo, Wis., one son, John A. Williams Jr. of Izmir, Turkey, four grandchildren, John C. Williams of Tampa, Fla., Amy Beebe of Delran, N.J., Michela Williams of Naples, Italy, and Paul Urban of Baraboo, Wis., three great-grandchildren, James, Alex and Brenna Beebe of Delran, N.J. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Betty Billy Michalski, on Oct. 20, 1992, two brothers, Michael and Adam Michalski, and one sister, Martha Raymond. He was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed by all whose lives he touched. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., (724-929-5300) a Golden Rule Member Firm, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be in the funeral home Tuesday, Dec. 31, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Timothy McConville officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
