Elizabeth S. Betty Houseman; 82; formerly of Fayette Avenue; Belle Vernon (Fairhope); died Tuesday; Dec. 3; 2002; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late George and Anna Shandor Seman; she was born May 20; 1920; in Arnold City. She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; the C.D. of A.; the Legion of Mary and the Third Order of St. Frances; all of Belle Vernon. Mrs. Houseman had resided most of her adult life in Fairhope. Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law; Sue Beeler of Arnold City; and Helen and Charles Biksey of Belle Vernon; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; James W. Houseman; who died Aug. 10; 1977; three brothers; George; Paul and Andy Seman; and two sisters; Anna Matway; and Mary Seman in infancy. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC.; (724-929-5300); a Golden Rule Member Firm; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. A Blessing Service will be in the funeral home on Friday at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Sebastian R.C. Church at noon with Father Ronald Cyktor; parochial vicar; as celebrant. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 3 p.m. led by members of St. Sebastian Parish.
