Obituary

Walter Sinsley,died Tuesday morning,September 28,1909 at 3:30 at his home in Belle Vernon as a result of burns received while extinguishing the flames of a lamp which exploded a few evenings ago. Mr. Sinsley suffered untold agony since the unfortunate occurrence and his death came as a relief. He was 27 years of age and widely known in this section and had many warm friends in Monessen having been employed the past four years in the grocery of L. Warman.  He was an efficient employee and an exemplary young man and stood high in the esteem of all with whom he came in contact and his sudden end comes as a shock to a wide circle of friends. He leaves to mourn the loss an aged father and mother,besides a wife and a small son.  His mother is critically ill,while his sister is recovering from a severe attack of typhoid fever. He was a member of the  local Order of Modern Woodmen in which he carried $1,000 insurance. The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Belle Vernon M.E. Church of which the deceased was a member and interment will be made in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
