She was born Sept. 16; 1934; in Deatsville; Ala.; a daughter of the late William Greaty Bowden and Lula Pearl Dillered. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband; Bernard R. Davis; on Sept. 9; 1998. She was Protestant by faith. Survivors include one son; Bernard W. Davis and wife Renee of McClellandtown; four daughters; Belinda Longnecker and husband Garmon of Belle Vernon; Jonalyn Fink of Florida; Kimberly Wise and husband Dale of Belle Vernon; and Virginia Martinak and husband Thomas of Perryopolis; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters; Betty Webb; Ida O’Quinn and Nell Hilderoff; all of Florida; and Mary Ellen Sutton of Tennessee; and three brothers; Raymond Bowden of Pennsylvania; and Clyde and George Bowden; both of Alabama. Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; and Tuesday until 10 a.m.; the hour of service in the funeral home with the Rev. Vane Kiffer of Tionesta; officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
