Obituary

Marian Boyce Swearer, 86, of Belle Vernon, Rostraver Township, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2002, at 7:49 a.m. at Adult Assisted Living Inc. in Dunlevy. Born June 21, 1916, in North Belle Vernon, she was a daughter of the late Fred T. and Grace Bickerton Boyce. Mrs. Swearer was a resident of Rostraver Township for the past 60 years. She was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church of Belle Vernon and was a homemaker. Mrs. Swearer is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David and Christine Swearer of East Millsboro, one sister, June Boyce of Belle Vernon, one grandson, Joshua Swearer and wife Amanda of North Belle Vernon, one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Keith and Edna Swearer of Belle Vernon, and three nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Swearer, on May 6, 2000. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. Private family services will be held Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard C. Klein Jr., pastor of Rehoboth Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Marian Swearer to the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Parkinson Foundation, 6470 Monitor St., Pittsburgh, Pa. 15217.
